Kepez Mahmut Celalettin Ökten Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi is a state Religious High School at secondary level for general education with the students aged 11-18 (from 5th to 12th grades).
Students get education on Islam Religion such as Quran, Arabic and other religious matters besides the education on science, mathematics, social sciences, foreign languages...existing in the curriculum of all types of schools. The school, founded in September 2016, has a new modern building with all kinds of facilities such as ICT and Science labs, conference hall, library, restaurant, a very big garden with too many playing fields and a luxurious pension to host the students. It has interactive boards in all classes. There are around 800 students and 50 teachers in the school. 6 administrators work in management as 1 principal and 5 manager assistants.
Our school consists of middle school and high school. Admission to middle school is done by a selection exam conducted by our school. There is a quota of 90 people for this exam and only 10% of those who take the exam are accepted to our school. The high school section of our school accepts students through the central exam conducted by the Ministry of National Education. Those who take this exam can get the right to study at our school if they can enter the 5% slice according to the exam score ranking. In this respect, the students of our school consist of a successful group academically and socially. High school students of our school will take part in this project. Project participants will be selected from students between the ages of 14-18.

Thanks to these projects, the participants became conscious about the protection of cultural heritage, values education and cultural integration. Our school also organizes courses for traditional sports and arts. In this context, archery, traditional Turkish games, painting courses, marbling art, ney baglama (Turkish traditional musical instruments) courses, and calligraphic writing courses are organized every year in our school. Religious education in our school covers not only the philosophy of Islam but also the general philosophy and teaching of all world religions.
